Maxons Restorations Issue 4.8

FEATURED PROJECT

Pepsi Cola's Time of Need
Katie Squires, Project Coordinator

Ankle deep in three inches of muddy water, Pepsi Executives found themselves in a messy situation. Damaged wood flooring, carpeting, and drywall in over 10,000 square feet of office space left Jeff Brody from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of New York in urgent need of Maxons' crew on a Monday morning in August.

Following a recent severe rain storm, Pepsi Cola's largest bottling plant in College Point, NY was deluged with ankle deep water and mud which affected more than 10,000 square feet of their facility. MAXONS' Long Island Senior Project Manager, Kris Cuozzo, responded to their emergency call and was on site in less than three (3) hours with a small army of cleaning technicians and hundreds of pieces of drying equipment to mitigate the severe damages, prevent mold growth and help get business back to normal.

MAXONS' project management team worked closely with Pepsi's executive team to answer their many questions, learn the company's main priorities and make expert recommendations to meet their key business objectives. Emergency crews were directed to meet the stated goals and all parties were kept up to date every step of the way on the progress of the work with loss photos and status updates using MAXONS' Eye of the Storm real-time project monitoring system.

As Pepsi's Director of Safety and Loss Control, Jeff Brody noted in his letter of appreciation:

"MAXONS' people helped make the ordeal manageable and our quick, efficient response was instrumental in helping limit the extent of the damage with a minimum of disruption to their normal business operations."
