The full potential of mold growth within indoor environments can be hard to define. However, there are significant risks and costs associated with unabated mold growth. Mold can diminish property values and can even prevent the sale of a property, landlords have been sued for the condition of their rental units, concerned parents have sued school districts and employers have been held responsible for exposure to mold on the job. Home inspectors and builders have been held responsible and many insurance carriers have incurred significant claim costs as a result.
