For a retail clothing store cleanliness, order and presentation are key for a positive shopping experience. For this popular chain store all of those came to a quick end when a waste line broke during the night. Raw sewage rained down on the merchandise and display areas from the third floor all the way to the basement stock room. Not pretty, as you can tell.
Frantic to get their store cleaned, dried and sanitized, the regional manager called Maxons as soon as he got the news. In under an hour our Project Manager was on location. We worked with their corporate management team by video conference to do a virtual inspection and mapped out the restoration plan. The biggest concern for the store was removing damaged clothing soaked in wastewater and getting the place disinfected. When we explained our Eye of the Storm program that allowed store representatives to view all job details from their desktop, they replied, "No more questions, where do I sign?".
With the start of the holiday shopping season around the corner, this company was anxious to get cleaned, restocked, and re-opened as quickly as possible. Hourly updates to corporate reps from our Project Manager allowed the company to zero in on their completion plans. Solid communication with key staff allowed for a seamless transition to re-stock the store.
Working around the clock for three days, this store was once again open for business. A grateful manager told us: "We had restored so much more than their store.".
